We're in Ohio for the week, loving life, kicking back and not doing anything, really. Loving it! We've been in some sort of water everyday and it's been awesome. The sandbar, the beach, the boat and even a kiddie pool! All four of us are getting some serious tanlines, despite the SPF 50 I slather all over our bodies. The back deck to the apartment at Mom & Dad's overlooks the gorgeous lake, leaving us a completely unencumbered view of the sunset. I stop every night to breathe, take it all in and thank God for this time. I have really enjoyed air conditioning, as little as we've been able to be in it, as the apartment, being on the lake front as it is, and would seemably not need it, does not have air conditioning. However, they've also been having some record breaking heat spells. I haven't actually heard anyone mention "record-breaking" but if you ask me, it is. And I'm grateful for the timing of this trip, so that I can actually be here while my mother is having her gallbladder removed. I know, it's a bit morbid for me to be grateful for that, but living 650 miles apart, we tend to not have the ability to be there for these things when our hearts want nothing more than to be.
