I'm on a self-improvement/discovery kick these days, trying to make myself happy and in turn hopefully being a better Mom and wife. So, I'm reading a book and came across this excellent paragraph that I thought I would share.
"No matter why you're feeling unhappy--you're bored to death with your job, you hate looking in the mirror because of the extra twenty pounds, you're stressed to the max, or you've got a bad case of free-floating anxiety--you need to decide that it's time to do something to help yourself feel better. You are responsible for changing the way you feel. If you are miserable, no amount of wishing and hoping and planning and thinking will change things. You have to take action. You, and you alone, have to decide that your less-than-vibrant mental health has been deadening your passion, and it's time for a change. Don't hide behind your bad feelings as a way of avoiding dealing with tough issues. Face these issues head-on."
Right on, sister!
