You Know You Need to Get Out of the House When...

You know you need to get out of the house when you start psycho-analyzing the characters on Sesame Street. For instance, I really think that Elmo is a passive-aggressive sadist. Seriously. Have you watched him lately? First, he posses a question to Mr. Noodle. Poor Mr. Noodle never has the right response for Elmo and sometimes he even talks to him like a child, "Mr. Noodle, come here please. You're supposed to shaaaare." And then he say's "Dorothy wants to ask someone else." He uses a fish that cannot talk to speak through and blames Dorothy for not trusting Mr. Noodle's response. At the end of every Elmo's World he asks a baby how they share, or use their hands, etc. A baby! Everyone know's that babies cannot speak and most do not possess the fine motor skills necessary to perform the tasks that Elmo asks of them. It's just plain cruel I tell you.

I really need to get out more.

Oh, it only gets better. When you sing the Little Einsteins theme song every time the family piles in the car to go somewhere, when the Wiggles songs are stuck in your head, and when you sing the Dora theme song to get her motivated to do something. That stuff becomes part of our lives, too. I fear the days of Hannah Montana (or whoever it will be then). Then comes boy bands, etc...
