It's All Coming Together

This week started out really rough. Josie and Sophie (7 month old I babysit now) were both having a very bad day, and well, so was I. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown, literally. Praise God, I didn't. I'm still here. And so are Josie and Sophie. After a nice long hot shower, some me time reading and a lot of prayer, I decided that I was going to have a great day Tuesday. It worked so well I tried it again for Wednesday and guess what? It worked! We're having a great week. Josie is still having her screaming fits, but after she is sent to her room, they don't last nearly as long as they did on Monday. And Sophie's still teething, but I can handle that. She goes home at 4:00. LOL.

We're going to DC next week. I can't wait!! I get to see Sarah and Martise and be reminded of what a real city is like. I look forward to not having the responsibility of being the soul caretaker of our home and Josie for 4 whole days. -Not that Rob doesn't help around the house, he's just never here. And I don't relax even on my "days off" unless I'm not here. Too much to do. Yippee!

I'm reading about treating my body better, inside and out. I'm very motivated to exercise and eat healthfully, for now. We'll see how long it lasts. But I've learned in these last few days, I have to treat my body better to keep my mind in check too. It's amazing how closely the two are related.

And finally, here's a pic of our new car. Rob loves it all around. I love that it's new, everything works on it, and I know that it will start everyday! (Not that I didn't love Sooby just as much, may she rest in peace.) It's a 2008 Scion XB. Ugly, isn't it?

New car, time for Road trip! Glad it all worked out Rox and you're getting away for the weekend. I hear ya on the nervous breakdown stuff. I've had Grace for a week by myself and there were times I thought I was gonna loose it. It passes, and I've asked God to give me some patience and understanding for her. I know she's 3 and it's normal for her not to listen to me, I just dont' like that part.

Give Josie a big hug from me, and you and Rob too!

I'm with Mendy: you gotta break the new G-ride in!

You know, some smart people once taught me that there are only two things in life you can control: your actions and your attitude. Sounds like you got a hold on the latter before the former got the best of you. But kids can be tough, and don't care what kind of day we are having. They'll learn, one day. :-)
